Several important context menu items don't show up in my XYplorer's file context menu. I am running Windows 7 64bit.

I believe the reason is that the missing items are 64bit programs, which do not show up in 32bit XYplorer.

I am still evaluating the trial version, and for me this is a "no-go".

When do you expect to have a 64bit version available?

Can't give a date but I'm ready to go at any moment. It's the compiler writers that slow it down.

Generally, to everybody on 64bit Windows: When you decided to go for 64bit you decided to leave the 32bit world. I'm sure you had good reasons to do so (and did not just believe the hype), but now you have to bear the consequences. IMHO as of today there is no 64bit file manager existing that could compare to XY. Well, I'm glad that this isn't my problem!

Support for Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 ended on March 31, 2005. Extended support ended in March 2008.

Nothing new. But not only MS can write compilers. Just as Borland wrote a C compiler, anybody with the skills can write a VB compiler.

I hope you find a compiler soon.
XY is the best file manager I've seen.

For most people the decision is made for them when they buy a new PC. Most of the ones on offer are now 64 bit and sales of 64 bit Win 7 now predominate.

That's correct!

Though it's simple to solve: buy no windows, and you don't need XY!

I remember times when on buying windows the reaction was:

Before XTREE I used Tree-view (one file : tv.exe 49421 bytes), not as powerful but very efficient.
Yes, it was the good time ! (before 1989, but which year exactly, I don't remember)
