XYplorer Beta Club

Hi,
now that Donald has put in the default for 'no extension' THANK YOU VERY MUCH, DONALD ! and I have installed the beta as portable, in its own directory, my customizations got lost. Copying startup.ini from the installed version makes the beta work with them, just fine, but obviously, everything gets back to the path %appdata%\XYplorer.
I like the idea of having everything in one place (i.e., portable) - so I tried to copy all the folders from %appdata%\XYplorer to the beta directory, but without a startup.ini, or when I change the path to point to the portable beta directory, XYplorer opens as a trial version rather then the registered one, and the customizations are no longer there.
Is there anything I can do short of re-doing all the customizations specifically inside the beta?

Hi Emil, has you copied the XYplorer.ini too to beta folder?
At least copy your license info from that ini to your "beta" ini.

Not until you told me . Now that I did so, the PFA and custom button are ok in beta, just my catalog isn't there, but that is not a great hardship to do manually

Please note that there are different files storing XY settings:

catalog.dat - XYplorer Catalog
CatalogDefault.dat - just factory defaults. Not needed to backup.
fvs.dat - XYplorer Folder View Settings
ks.dat - XYplorer Keyboard Shortcuts
lastini.dat - Remembers last used ini
tag.dat - XYplorer File Tags and Comments
udc.dat - XYplorer User-Defined Commands
XYplorer.ini - Holding your license and settings like main XY config and tweaks, CustomToolbarButtons, MRUs, Favorites, PFA FileAssoc,

If you have modified you may backup this folders too:
NewItems folder
Scripts folder
