Hi !
What happened to "rename" in a folder's right-click (context) menu ?
Explorer has this, and it is missing from TrackerV3.
I know that you can use F2, but that is not always convenient, and everything else from Explorer's context menu is present.
Rename Folder ??

Re: Rename Folder ??
It's never been there! The decision to not show it is about 6 years old and the reasons for it are long outdated. Thanks for the reminder!The_Dude wrote:What happened to "rename" in a folder's right-click (context) menu?
Re: Rename Folder ??
I have it in the list context menu but not the tree context menu, I assume you are the same.The_Dude wrote:What happened to "rename" in a folder's right-click (context) menu ?
However, I did find this:
Right click on a folder in the tree.
With the context menu still open, close TrackerV3 (Windows close button).
Code: Select all
Run-time error '91':
Object variable or With block variable not set
It might be something in the tree context menu but it would appear that all the non-TrackerV3 applications are the same in both context menus.

Can't reproduce (XP). But closing an app while a menu is open is bad manners, anywayGandolf wrote:Run-time error '91'

I agree, it is bad practice, but for people like me who do have bad manners!!admin wrote:Can't reproduce (XP). But closing an app while a menu is open is bad manners, anywayGandolf wrote:Run-time error '91'
I found the sequence is a bit more complex but I can reproduce it reliably with the following:
Select a folder (that has sub-folders) in the tree.
Select a sub-folder of that folder in the list pane.
Right click any folder in the tree.
Close TrackerV3.
This is with version 4.20.0009 so it is not related to the nonexistence of the Rename function.

Re: Rename Folder ??
Ah, that worked resp. malfunctioned correctly. EDIT: I found some other similar ways to raise Error 91, e.g. close app while the list right-drag/drop menu is open.Gandolf wrote:Select a folder (that has sub-folders) in the tree.

Fix comes with next delivery. I really enjoy how the app gets better and better!

And I enjoy the response from you, it's a pleasure to be able to help in the development of TrackerV3.admin wrote:I really enjoy how the app gets better and better!
