Switching tabs rescans directory contents?
Switching tabs rescans directory contents?
It seems that Tracker scans the contents of a directory everytime a tab is switched. Is that because each tab shares the listview component? The reason I ask is because for some reason Tracker is pretty slow to read the contents of network directories, and switching between tabs can freeze the app for a couple seconds each time....gets somewhat annoying.

Exactly. That's why I called it Tabbed Browsing Lite. Advantage: It's very easy on the memory. Disadvantage: I don't have to tell you.JustinF wrote:It seems that Tracker scans the contents of a directory everytime a tab is switched. Is that because each tab shares the listview component?
Caching the find results listings is a point on my todo-list, and of course that could be done as well for network locations. It won't happen very soon, though.
