Building thumbnails in the background

Hi Don, did you start building thumbnails in the background at some point recently and not tell us or have I and possibly others been asleep? I ask because I saw the tray icon come up and the thumbnails were silently and non-visually built in the background.

Hi Filehero, I hope all is well. Maybe it was a shadow update as well as silent. I knew about that (Shadow Instance) thread and I raised some questions about it later there viewtopic.php?p=201912#p201912. So, it looks like Don implemented it from what I can tell.

I updated the thumbnail script for the new ini files vs dat2 and the "Resolve cache path from current folder" change, but I have more work to do now, but this is welcomed work, since the shadow instance will greatly simplify the script...no more background and foreground options.

No, I reduced some painting work (v23.40.0010 - 2022-08-06 15:04).

Oh well, it seemed like building thumbs was being done in the background especially since I saw the XY 2nd instance tray icon. Evidently, that instance was left over from some other operation.
