Windows search
Windows search
Just wondering if xyplorer is making use of Windows search services or is running totally on its own. If so, I suppose I can disable that?
Re: Windows search
thank you - I am very happy with xyplorer, so no intention to change anything. Just wanted to avoid disabling this window feature and then accidentally affecting xyplorer relying on some parts of it.
Re: Windows search
Using the scripts here im forum you can use Everything search tool to query the Windows index.
The results are stored in an XY paper folder.

Re: Windows search
Horst, when would I need to do that?
Re: Windows search
What do you mean with "when" ?
You can do it if you want to use the Windows search index to search for files or content in XY.
Its faster then any file managers native search functions.
