Thumbnail mode scroll distance

Post by Norn »

Is it possible to adjust the distance to scroll the thumbnails? When I use large thumbnails I need to scroll 1 notch for half of the thumbnails, I often worry about overscrolling. :?

I looked at the thumbnail mode of other file manager, the scroll distance is half of the thumbnails, and I feel smooth when scrolling.

Hey Norn take a look at this thread viewtopic.php?f=5&t=18281 You can adjust thumbnail scrolling vs list and detailed view scrolling in Tools > General > Menu, Mouse, Usability > Usability > Wheel scroll lines. Mine is set at: 0;6

Just curious, what values did you try? I temporarily changed my setting to 0;3 and it seems to scroll have the thumbnails on my page (240x240).

1, 2, 3, 0.5, 0;1, 1;2, 0:1, 1:2, 0;6, 0:6, 0;3, 0:3 . . .
Make sure you understand what I mean: Scroll thumbnails by half the height when scrolling 1 notch:

Okay, I thought you were talking about half the thumbnails on a page as opposed to half a thumbnaill. The setting 0;1 should scroll one thumbnail row at a time (it does for me), but a fraction value like "0;.5" is not accepted.

No change here (win 7, win 10 and win11), is the bottom thumbnails intact when you select the first thumbnail?

I'm not sure what you mean by "intact". I'm using a 2K display (2560x1440) with 240x240, #3 thumbnails which gives me 5 rows of thumbnails all of which are completely visible when I select the first thumbnail in an the upper row.

XY does not support scrolling half lines. Maybe some day it will.
