About "Open file from 64-bit process" option

Post by Norn »

External Copy Handlers-FastCopy won't work when "Open files from 64-bit process" is checked.
If not an issue maybe add a note to the option? It took me over 20 minutes to figure it out. :|

What has a copy handler to do with opening a file?

So I made the external copy handler work by gradually removing the contents of XYplorer.ini.
The external copy handler pops up when "Open file from 64-bit process" is checked, just pops up. . .
Uncheck "Open file from 64-bit process" and the external copy handler will work.

Interesting. I had only tried the open64 sc and that didn't trigger anything here...

A few small questions:
1)Is it possible to add file operations to the action log when using an external copy handler?
2)When Auto-Refresh is off, using XYplorer to perform file operations, can the selected items not be unchecked when the file operation is completed?

1) No, because external copy handlers run asynchronously and I don't get feedback about their success.

2) Can you give a more specific example?

1)Generally, the file operations that need to be undone are small files, so I don't think it's necessary to get their success. Maybe change the name "Copy" and "Move" in the action log to "External Copy" and "External Move"? Even if it's just a log, can't be undo. . .

2)Turn off Auto-Refresh, copy some files that cannot be copied in a short time, then select any file, when the file operation is complete it will uncheck all selected items.

There are many factors involved. Too rare and too minor now to enter the top of my todo list.
