Where is your Address Bar Dropdown button?
Need this poll to decide whether to change the factory default.

Re: Where is your Address Bar Dropdown button?
Have to say though that I wasn't aware that one could change this but even if I had known, I wouldn't have changed it, as I think the current factory default is the expected position - for me at least.

Looks like. I'm personally so used to the left position that this is the first thing I change in a fresh instance. Well, guess I'm a freak.

Right side for me too. It's a little less mouse travel on a big monitor.

Re: Where is your Address Bar Dropdown button?
I find it natural to have the mouse where the stuff I'm looking at is.

Re: Where is your Address Bar Dropdown button?
Since the arrival of breadcrumbs I've changed my habits "completely".
Initially it was (largely) the Mini Tree which got me into XY. Currently my tree is locked and actually serves as a vertical drive/share bar. So, my busy side has changed to the right (though, the "deep" Snake snaking down the tree sometimes is missing visually...).
The damn lovely truth is: XY can be customized to almost any habit. So, once I'd like to return to climbing trees the button will be back on the left with a simple click.

Re: Where is your Address Bar Dropdown button?
Well it's on the left *now*!
Left seems more sensible, given that the list items are left-justified. However... Right is the standard for Windows apps. You'll probably get lots of inquiries if you change the XY default.

Given that the list items (that you may want to click) are left-justified, wouldn't a button on the left equate to less mouse travel?

Re: Where is your Address Bar Dropdown button?
My monitor is 32" so it's more about the travel to get to the AB. I'm trying the drop-down on the left now and I could easily get used to it. As far as your comment though, you don't really need to be close to the left side to select an item from the drop down since the entire line is hi-lighted.

Re: Where is your Address Bar Dropdown button?
Since we are talking about unique XY customization/features, I find the button to be too small in order to use it comfortabely, regardless of whether it is right or left.
It would be nice if the mouse offered another way to drop the AB drop down list, maybe a middle click on the AB or scrolling the wheel while the mouse is on top of the AB (or while the AB has focus?).

Re: Where is your Address Bar Dropdown button?
As far as factory default goes, I vote for the right side, simply because it will less confuse new users. However, the option to move it to the left should be more advertised. (I never new that this was possible.) Then everyone can decide for him/herself.

Re: Where is your Address Bar Dropdown button?
Middle clicking can be a pain on some mice, but I like the idea of a down scroll to activate the drop down.

Re: Where is your Address Bar Dropdown button?
I tried down scroll to activate the drop down. The natural expectation is then to undrop it again on up scroll. But this makes it more complex than I like ATM.

Re: Where is your Address Bar Dropdown button?
I would not expect that. I would expect both down and up scroll to drop the list down. (It could put the selection at different ends of the list.)
To close it, I would expect that I would have to click anywhere (on an item, the AB, or anywhere else).
