Find Files using a list of names

Post by hermhart »

Is it possible to use Find Files and in the Name field to paste a list? A list that is not delimited by a semicolon, but a list where each search term is on its on line?

So instead of searching for:
123;234;345

you could paste a list like this:
123
234
345

I have tried it for the heck of it, just to see, knowing full well that it is a single line input, and of course, I did not have any luck.

Do you think it could be a good option to add?

No, it's already a drop-down field and I'm sure Don doesn't want to change it

Using the Everything script here in the forum you can make a search with your list in Everything GUI
and get the results as Paper folder.
download/file.php?id=15570
The syntax for the search in the GUI is for example:
include-file-list:C:\path_to_file_list\Files.txt
Windows 11 Home x64 Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3374)
Portable XYplorer (actual version, including betas)
Everything 1.5.0.1371a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.3.2, Listary Pro 6.3.0.69
