Traditional "Sort by Date" method?

Post by GreenSwede »

I just got XYplorer today after I've had issues with the File Explorer breaking on me. So far I like it, but I don't know how to make it sort items by Date similarly to how Windows' File Explorer does it.

I would like to be able to sort by date so it shows the folders at the top/beginning of the list, with individual items followed after below them. I find this sorting method useful for my Pictures library, but so far I have only been able to sort things in XYplorer in a way that causes the folders to not get placed at the top of the list. This makes the folders get placed all over the place and not where I want them to be for easy visualization.

Help is appreciated.

Configuration | General | Sort and Rename | Sort | Keep folders on top

and while you are there make sure this is still in its default disabled state:

Configuration | General | Sort and Rename | Sort | Mixed sort on date columns
