Hi,
since the forum doesn't allow to search for "windows search" this might be already answered:
Can I use the Windows Search index to get content results?
If yes: How? I would love to get instant results "as I type" as it was in windows explorer starting from W7 ending with W10 1903.
If no: Why not?

Re: Search using Windows Search Index
In addition to the script mentioned above by Highend
Everything 1.5 also can query the Windows search index with systemindex:searchstring
So with the Everything script from Highend we can also search the Windows search index.

This script may even be modified using a new option w: to make such a search.

Re: Search using Windows Search Index
Awesome! That's what I looked for, thanks.
In my opinion, the search included in Windows 7 through 10:1903 is one of the greatest Windows features and also one of the most underrated. So bad that Microsoft crippled it starting with 1909/10H2.
