Color frame -don't double up the frame lines on adjacent folders

Post by klownboy »

I really like the idea of color framing. Just a suggestion though, it would look a little cleaner if the frame lines were not doubled up when framing 2 or more adjacent folders (i.e., only a single line where two frames collide)?

It was not possible that way. But another way: they have a 1 pixel distance now. Looks better.

i like the idea of this feature, but frame line of 1px is so thin that it's kinda difficult to see the colour itself. oh well, still interesting idea of different "shapes".

I had the same thought. A 2 pixel frame could be an additional option.

Yes, it's much better with the 1 pixel spread. It will be interesting to check out a 2 pixel frame width.

2 pixels frame is just what my eyes needed though that may depend on computer resolution - laptop vs desktop. Thanks.

I don't think it's possible to have a color filter combination that will display a particular frame color along with a normal but different background color (e.g., a light yellow background with a orange frame). Though I was quite sure it wouldn't be possible since they are both considered types of background colors, I've tried a number of different combinations of color filters without any luck. Is that a true statement? It might make for some interesting color filters if possible.

i guess it's not possible as colour filters have 2 colours parameters, and switch just determines how to show/represent background colour.

Yes thanks eil, this was more a wish disguised as a question. :)

You'll get filled frames with the next beta. It's called the "number plate style". Here's an electron microscope shot:

Wow, that will be cool. I really didn't think it would be possible or easy to do since 2 colors are currently available - background and text. Now you've somehow been able to isolate the frame color from a fill or standard background color. :appl:

It's still 2 colors, right? I just distributed them wisely. :)

Ahhh okay, silly me hadn't even noticed in your pic that the frame and text is same "color".
