I am considering purchasing XYplorer to cleanup my fmily photos. My photo are on an network share (an unRAID system).
I basically want to go into each folder and do the following:
1) Look at the photos and decide on a "meaningful" folder name"
2) Rename each folder with the format of YYYY-MM-DD-meanngfull name
3) Ideally pull the date from the photo metadata
4) Then rename each file in the directory to the above plus a number at the end: YYYY-MM-DD-meanngfull name-XXXX
Pretty easy use case. I assume this should be pretty easy with this tool? The hardest but is deciding on the "meaningful name" for each folder.
Anyy tips and tricks from others who have used the folder to cleanup and rename a family photo collection? Thanks!
Dave
