Increasingly XYplorer is adding a function that hinges on the use of a mouse wheel which is clearly handy for the majority of the programs users.
But what about those of us who use a trackball that has neither a middle button or a wheel. Is there a way to implement that with the software? If not that would certainly be a valuable feature to add!
A software "mouse wheel"
Re: A software "mouse wheel"
I don't get it. You want an implementation of something that doesn't exist (on your side). Is there a way to implement that with the software?
How exactly should this implementation look like?
AHK can easily send wheel events or wheel clicks (normally just the third mouse button) but if your trackball can't trigger them itself, you need to use either buttons, catalog entries, user defined commands, whatever, to run such an AHK script...

Given that grim assessment there appears to be no magic bullet. Perhaps the best approach is to start looking for a more capable trackball.
