Preview64.exe and xyplorer 21.30 and 21.40

Post by giuliastar »

Hi

I have updated 21.40 as soon it was avaible ,after I have re-installed 21.30 just because i had an issue , and finally re-updrade to 21.40

but I have noticed in the my disk folder where i have installed xyplorer 21.40 there is Preview64.exe

Preview64.exe is not present in the xyplorer 21.40 installation or portable version and it's not preset even in 21.30 installation or portable version

may I know why?
Was part of xyplorer (I haven't noticed in tha past , i perfrom a check with virus total because I was worried could be a virus) ?

Should I delete it?
I run xyplorer under w10 64bit and w7 64bit

thanks

v21.10.0011 - 2020-09-23 18:40
* Contents64.exe: Renamed the file to "XY64contents.exe" (you see, I got
into branding my files), and recompiled it with a new icon.
* ContextMenu64.exe: Renamed the file to "XY64ctxmenu.exe". New icon and
compilation later...
So of course you can delete the old files now...

Well, I wasn't aware that the old files were just left behind either.
I would have expected that an update with the installer would clean up obsolete files - are my expectations unreasonable?
