sadly looking for a refund

Post by alfi286 »

Been using this program for over a year and happy with it but I didn't get the lifetime plan and now it will only install on my new machine as a trial and when I enter my account details to unlock it it says thank you and to restart but when I do that it is back at the trial window. I want to try to get my money back - has anyone any experience with an American Express chargeback or do I need to put this down to a bad loss?

Which exact version number are you trying to unlock with your license on your new machine and when was your license issued?

I am trying to activate XYplorer 18.80.0000 (05-Mar-2018) as I tried going back to older versions, but my work laptop is working fully registered with 20.70

I just didnt realise after your first support year was up you would no longer be able to activate it - I thought it would just work at its old version. Anyway lesson learnt - will stick with free open source from now on.

As long as the version you're trying to activate isn't newer than a year after your license was issued, it can be activated.
And using the same version that's on your laptop on your new machine should work (you could just install 20.70 on it and then copy over your XY data folder).

If this does not work, write to support@xyplorer.com with your license details...

This is nonsense. The license NEVER expires. I hope you saw that too in the meantime.
