Special numbering needed

Is there a way to configure Batch Rename so that it numbers a selected set of files incrementally depending on if the initial figure given was odd or even?

End result would like like this:
33 file
35 file
37 file
etc

or
60 file
62 file
64 file
etc

As Yul Brynner says in The King And I, "Its a puzzlement."

None of the inbuilt rename tools support counting. Script it.
