Resizing floating preview?

Post by mmp997 »

How do I resize the Floating Preview? When I started using XYplorer it was big, but now for some reason it has shrunk. Is there a way of controlling the size?

How exactly are you invoking this "floating preview"?

Mh, I'm not using this (very often) and I can resize it by dragging on every site of that window...

Hardcore methode:
Quit XY
Go to your XYplorer.ini file and open it (with a half way modern text editor)

Search for:

Code: Select all

FPWidth=
FPHeight=
and enter values to your liking there

Save it, start XY again...

I'll try that, I suppose, but I am frustrated.
I must have done something to get it into this state, I'd like to undo it.

Enter fresh; into the address bar and hit the enter key

Can you resize it in that instance?

If yes, yeah, you've messed up the config otherwise: some third party tool messes things up^^

It makes no difference.
I'll use the Preview Pane instead, for the moment.

F11 invokes Full Screen Preview on my system and if invoked from a pdf there is no way to switch this to the floating preview (with PDF XChange Editor installed) if you start with a jpg instead you can r-click to find a menu to switch the full screen off or if you start with the preview panel open (again with a jpg selected) and r-click you can then start the floating preview which is resizable (see below).

Yes, with a jpg the behaviour is as you describe.

Yes but the point was that once you have your resizable floating preview open, it works for pdf's and other file types as well, i.e. you select another file in the list and it shows in the floating preview.
You could also create a user button for floating preview.

This is not my experience.
From the pdf floating preview right click does not produce a menu.

Please read carefully: Once you opened your floating preview with a jpg (and leave it open) and then click on a pdf, it is used for the pdf as well.
