New Favorite List Position

By default, a favorite folder is added to the bottom of the favorites list.
I would like it to be added to the top automatically.
Can this be done?

Not as far as I know. You can however edit the Favorites through Tools > List Management > Favorite Folders, including sorting and manually moving.
