SW development is a continuous stream of changes to a complex system with many dependencies and while you are trying to fix something in a long gone version, I (and I assume the majority of other users too) would rather see bug fixes and added functionality for the current version.

admin, i checked various versions of xy (thanks to the 'Back Catalog'). it turned out that:

1) the v19.10.0200 does not work correctly
it is still problematic: selections become invisible (like in my main v19.00.02.07)

2) but the v19.20 works exactly as the newest version (there is no such problem)
(the newest version has this problem, and maybe some more of them that i don't know yet)

i still wonder if this is a bug (then i will be forced to switch to v19.20 or to 20.60.0404 (that i don't have) or to 20.60.0400),
or something that may be easily fixed by changing some option (for example, in the ini-file)

(v19.10.0231) several minutes ago i found this:

! Configuration | Colors and Styles | More Colors | Selections in
non-focused controls: Color "Selection Text" was not applied in the file
list nor in any other small lists. Fixed

so it was a huge bug
