Hi,
I'd like to have a backup of all my personalizations/settings I have in XY. I don't see any global save option...how is it done?
The idea would be that, if all goes wrong, I can open a fresh install of XY and import the settings. How can this be done?
Thanks!
Save global settings/configuration to file?
Re: Save global settings/configuration to file?
File > Settings Special > Backup Application Data Folder.
Alternatively, you can set the XYplorer configuration folder in Startup.ini (located in the XYplorer program folder), to a folder that you will automatically backup (i.e. on a separate data partition).

Ok, now I need to restore those settings...how do I do that?
Thanks!
PS Browsing through the menus, I stumbled on the 'File/Settings Special/Save Configuration As...' option. Is this redundant if I do the above or are they complementary?

By copying back the data folder (while XY is not running)?
That saves just the .ini file, not everything...
