Stupid question

Post by ng4ever »

Trust me this is really stupid but I always wanted to ask the question. Sorry :(

What is the point of Xyplorer please ? Is it really that much better than Windows 10 explorer ? Yes I read a lot about it. It is a serious question.

If you don't want to reply I understand.

I have to admit that the vanilla Windows file manager is way better now than it has been in previous versions of Windows. Still though, XYplorer has some "must have" features that aren't present in the default file manager. For example color-coding files by type. MouseDownBlowUp is another. Mixed columns is yet another.

Indeed, it has advanced (after some 20 years?).

However, since XYplorer has been improved much more I consider the distance has become even bigger.

Here´s a reason for you. I purchased a cut-price HP with a 2 TB SSD and WIN10 OS - what could possibly go wrong?

For some reason WIN 10 Explorer takes around 5-10 seconds to open any folder that contains subfolders and longer when switching between partitions. I tried all suggested hacks (disabling Cortana, reindexing, etc, etc...) but nothing works for me.

Solution - Xyplorer - yay, everything back to normal!
