Custom folder icons

If I use XY to change a folder's icon (by right clicking it and choosing Properties > Customize > Change Icon), the new icon appears in the file list but not in the tree.

But if I do the same thing in Windows File Explorer and then open XY, the new icon appears in both the tree and the file list.

Why is this so?

Is this resolved? a restart of XY should show updated icons in the tree.
