Is there a way to stop the [R] key from closing popup menus?

Post by Lusayalumino »

The [R] key seems to close popup menus... but I can't figure out why or how to stop that behavior. Does anyone have any ideas?

Any other key simply executes the menu item (if it's the only menu item that begins with that character) -- or if there's multiple menu items beginning with the same character, it would cycle through those. But not with R... with R, it closes the menu and fails to activate the command.

This "R" seems to come from some script you are running. Hence it's that script where you can remove it.

I put the leading characters in as shortcuts (e.g. R for Right, F for Full, L for Left) -- but with R, instead of executing the command, it closes the menus for some reason. No other Number or Letter has this behavior, only R (so far)... and in some menus that have a command beginning with and R, it does nothing (doesn't close the menu but also doesn't select items that begin with R). Any thoughts?

I cannot confirm that the "R" closes popup menus. At least it does not do that here. :|

Menu - Tools - Customize Keyboard Shortcuts...

Left click on Options - Copy Cheat Sheet - Shortcut, Command

Paste the output here...

Judging from that output, an external application is responsible for that behavior

Thanks Highend ... quite bizarre and really tough to troubleshoot.
