Is there a way to make the backgrounds of .png images transparent in the list?

I have an issue that I can't seem to figure out. My .ico images are transparent, but my .png images have an ugly gray square halo. Anyone know how to get rid of that?

Yes, set these:

Configuration | Preview | Thumbnails | Transparency == Neutral
Configuration | Preview | Thumbnails | Style == Plain

it will most likely require refreshing the thumbnails afterwards though:

View | Caches | Refresh Thumbnails

Your recommended settings were perfect (and what I actually already had). But I did need to refresh for it to work (even closing / reopening XY didn't do it).
