Selection background in non-focused controls in Dark mode

Hello. It looks like the colored Selection background in non-focused controls turns to grey once the Dark mode is enabled. (With the corresponding Use checkbox ticked or not.)
Is there a way around it? Or are you planning on changing it?

The setting is not ignored but the defined color is auto-converted to a somewhat darker color. This cannot be changed at the moment.
