Re: Highlight sort column problem
Can you show a complete screenshot of the issue (the whole XYplorer window)?

Re: Highlight sort column problem
Baffling! I have no idea how this is possible.

Re: Highlight sort column problem
Neither do I
I also thought that maybe there was something nested inside the Z folder that could conflict with column highlighting but contents of both folders are fully identical as I mirror-backup this folder from C to D every day... Also Scandisk has shown no error on drive C.

What color is it set to? (Configuration | Colors and Styles | Colors | Sorted Column)

Re: Highlight sort column problem
Until this morning it was default E1E9F0 but I changed it to D0DBE6 so it would better show on the screenshots.

This should be ticked:

So, how does it look when it's ticked?

Re: Highlight sort column problem
There's too much personal data. But I may extract a particular section if you tell me which one.

Can you repro it with a fresh install?

Re: Highlight sort column problem
When I delete XYplorer.ini file (I have a backup), the program returns to running smoothly! Active columns are duly highlighted as appropriate even in my problematic folder. So the problem is somewhere inside the program's main INI file. But what to look for? Mine is 131 KB big... Any hint which particular string I should check/look for?
Re: Highlight sort column problem
Problem solved !!
Knowing I should check the main INI file, I searched it for the problematic path C:\Z. It took a while to eliminate unrelated staff (there were very many instances of this string) and finally I discovered at the end of file this section:
[HiliteBranch]
Count=1
1=C:\Z\>000000,000000
I commented out the line with this instance with a semicolon and hence - on the XY's next reload it started to behave as expected! Thanks for leading me to a solution, now everything works as it should. Kudus to you!
I trust I may just delete this section as I see no use of it.
