Occasionally I do connect an external HD or SD card to my laptop. I use a tabs for each of such these devices.
Sometimes the path has changed, for example SD card V: has changed to Z: drive. I then failed to connect when I click on the predefined tab.
Is there a way to make the drive connection non sensitive for this change, so clicking the tab will always successfully connect to the drive?
I use version 20.10

Yes.
1) Tick this:
Configuration | General | Controls and More | Miscellaneous | Support volume labels in paths
2) Give that drive a name, a so-called volume label.
3) In the tab, via Relocate Tab, rename your path to use the volume label instead of the drive letter.
Now the tab will work independent of the current latter assigned to that drive.
