Finding a file

Post by MBaas »

I just did a search of a clone of this repository for any files containing the word "dyalog". XY found 4 matches and missed an occurrence in this file (line 116).
I notice that a Preview of that file gives information "Cannot decode" - so I guess it expects different content. However, as "Raw Preview" reveals, it's plain ASCII-Content there, so it should be findable...

.ts is the extension for a video (transport stream) file

They are only searched if Type on the Contents tab is switched to Text and Binary (or Binary only), not if it is set to Text only.

This isn't a bug, it's by design. Imagine that all your .ts (video) files would be searched if that drop-down is set to Text (and .ts files
can be easily in the size range of multiple gigabytes)...

It's a bad design decision by the TypeScript language that they have used an already existing file extension
