Rename function no longer works?

For some reason, I can't rename folders as of two days ago. I've turned the Tools/Customize List/Rename on Slow Click/ checkmark on and off. It does not seem to have an effect. This applies to folders in the (I hope I'm naming this correctly) the tabbed file view. If I right click, go to Rename, it doesn't allow me to edit the folder name.

On the Mini-Tree, on the other hand, I can right click, go to Rename, and Rename the folder.

These are brand new folders, so there don't seem to be permissions limiting things.

Any hints appreciated.

Problem withdrawn.

Everything seems to be working normally now. Not sure why.
