Error on drag and drop
Error on drag and drop
When I try to drag a file from my desktop to an open XYplorer window I get an error message saying "the target can't handle this type of document" Seems to happen with any type of file. Any idea what causes this?

Re: Error on drag and drop
Works fine here.
Sounds stupid but errors on drag and drop are often fixed by a Windows reboot.

Re: Error on drag and drop
Reboot has no effect. Running XYplorer as admin has no effect. It appears to be specifically an XYplorer problem. Drag and drop works everywhere else, including dragging the same file into a Win10 file explorer window.

Re: Error on drag and drop
Weird. This message is not from XYplorer. Last time I've seen this message was 20070414, and that was on WinXP, and it was not in the context of drag and drop.

Re: Error on drag and drop
It gets weirder! In the meantime I discovered there was a new release of XYplorer, which I installed. Checked if it made any difference - still got the same error message. As I mentioned I had previously set the executable to run as an administrator to see if that would solve the problem and found it made no difference. I removed the run as admin option and - guess what - drag and drop of the file into an XYplorer window is now working again as it should. Explain that!!
