Windows taskbar is refreshed every time 64-bit context menu is invoked

Post by eukeilgoosk » 03 Mar 2019 08:53

I checked the box for "Show the 64-bit context menu" in "Shell Integration" section of the Configuration. Now, every time I right click on a file or a folder, I see the taskbar and the desktop icons getting refreshed as the context menu is appearing. What is the reason for this? Can this refresh be prevented?

Good morning,
I can confirm this as well. I don't have that option checked; however, I do see the same refresh happening when I right-click any file/folder and then choose "Show 64-bit Context Menu".

Latest XY beta / Windows 10 x64 1809.

That refresh is also a little annoying when right-clicking on a folder in the tree as it doesn't get highlighted. Would love to see this minor issue resolved.

Weird. Does not happen here (Win 8.1). And there is no reason visible to me why it should happen. :?

But note that the 64-bit context menu code is currently being rewritten from scratch and will soon be replaced. That should fix it.
