Disable persistent visual filters across tabs?

Forgive me if I've overlooked this, I've used XYP with visual filters for years.

When I apply a visual filter, most frequently by applying a Power Filter, the same filter is applied when I switch to a different tab. How to I make it so the filter is applied only the current tab? Am I forced to use a script action to limit my filters to being tab specific? Similar to disabling persisent live filters option I would guess, but I cant find the option or tweak.

It sounds like you are using Global Visual FIlters instead of Visual Filters, each is a different feature with a different toolbar button, just make sure you aren't using the Global variant.
