New here, questions

Post by RAMWolff »

So after MS's recent bevy of updates my file explorer is a mess... right click and choosing ANY function there freezes my system so I got and bought XYplorer and I'm quite happy with it so far but there are some things I need to to get it to where I like it.

1) Old eyes, so normally when I was young my eyes had no issues with bright and bouncy, now I like darker for getting around the system. I was told by the developer there were options to fix the colors and while I got one page darker using 4C4C4C for dark and EEEEEE for text it only seems to affect one page at a time. I'd like to find out is and where the setting is to make this automated for ANY page I view.

2) How do I set up the User Button's for things like Control Panel? I know there is a drop down menu for it but I like a simple click icon and all the paths I've tried don't launch it in a new tab....

Thanks so much,
Richard

2. Control panel in a new tab? Are you talking about Menu - Tools - Tools Special - Control Panel...?
If that's the case, what his this thing to do with XYplorers tabs?

Hi,
I want an easy access button for the Control Panel on the main bar next to the Computer Icon. How do I create that? I have the button made, named and the icon in place but the path is not working for me. See the screen shot....

Thanks so much. Is there a list of these codes somewhere for me to peruse through? Seems odd that a simple path isn't valid but instead these codes!

Now I just need to figure out how to make a universal color theme to have darker background and light text. :eh:
