Good morning all,
Running Windows 10 x64 1803 with latest XY beta.
I noticed when I right-click any EXE and choose Show 64-bit Context Menu, Pin to Taskbar is missing. This option is present in (ack) Explorer. The Pin to Start is available on both XY and Explorer.
For a workaround, I can drag/drop the EXE to the Taskbar and it pins; however, I was looking to see if there is a tweak or setting I am missing to make it show up in the XY context menu.

Missing Pin to Taskbar
Re: Missing Pin to Taskbar
Good afternoon all,
Few years later, still experiencing this issue. Occasionally I'll come across an EXE that does show the "Pin to taskbar" option; however, the majority of them do not - even when using the 64bit Context Menu.

I miss this context menu entry too.
Why does XYplorer omit this menu?
Any fix for this (except drag&drop)?

Re: Missing Pin to Taskbar
"Pin to Taskbar" lives in the 64-bit context menu.
"Pin to Start" is completely missing, which I cannot explain ATM.

Re: Missing Pin to Taskbar
Hi!
I still get the complete opposite and Pin to Taskbar is missing from all context menus in XY, 32 or 64, but appear in (blech) Explorer. It's been so long since my original post that when I saw it show up I said "hey, I have that problem" and then "ha! that was my post"

Re: Missing Pin to Taskbar
There is no Pin to task bar for me even in the x64 context menu.
But XY is not alone with this missing entry.
I also miss it in Total Commander and Free Commander.
The simple Work-around is to drag it onto the taskbar.

Re: Missing Pin to Taskbar
Yes, the work around is to drag to the Taskbar or use Explorer, both work just fine (and I actually don't need it often). Out of curiosity I downloaded, installed and checked DO and the entry is missing as well.
Windows 10/11 is pretty much a shit-show so I'm not surprised. What is also odd on the Explorer context menu it is listed as "Pin to taskbar" and not "Taskbar", goofy.
Probably something that can just be ignored unless you were having fun going down the rabbit hole of figuring out "why".
