XY Source Pretty Print

Post by VeeGee »

Good morning Don,
I am a lifetime license holder and was trying to think of ways to help further fund XY. I tell everyone about it and try to get more sales going your way; however, it doesn't always work. Maybe I should gift them their licenses...Anyway, to help w/the progression of XY and tools that may help out, I thought of the suite of tools from StarPrintTools.

I am currently using VBACodePrint from StarPrintTools (http://www.starprinttools.com/vbacodeprint.htm). I use it for all of exports from Access, Excel, etc. and have been really happy w/the results. Like XY, I believe it is a single developer that makes all their products.

They offer a VB6 Add-in version (http://www.starprinttools.com/vbcodeprint.htm). Not sure if this is something that you would be interested in for XY, have a need for and/or if it would work in your setup. If you are interested, I'd like to offer you a free license for you to use. If you trial-ed the software and found that it is useful for you, I would gladly PayPal you the cost so that you could add it to your toolset.

Thank you again for all your hard work on XY.

Thanks, that's very kind of you. But I don't need this. No offense. But apart from a 64-bit compiler I have all I need. :)

Thank you. I would also contribute to the x64 compiler once Don has decided on the service/software/route that he'll go with. Maybe a Kickstarter campaign or a donation link - I'm game ! Personally I'm perfectly fine w/XY x86 on my Windows 10 x64 machine. I don't think I've noticed any problems running XY as-is. Pretty !@#$ing amazing what he has accomplished with VB. C'mon, who hasn't been drag/dropping files all over within this beta cycle ?

As for printing, I use it to go to PDF as part of my cross-training, SVN update, etc. I like how it pretty prints, creates indexes, cross-references, etc. and it's very nice to read/review/markup offline on a tablet when I'm not in front of my desktop.
