7-row back key not working

Maybe this is a common issue and I'm just not seeing it in the forum, but I can't find how to use the back and forward keys on my keyboard to navigate through XY. I went to customize keyboard shortcuts, but there's no response when I try setting the key, and I know the key works bc I use it all the time for everything else.

Windows 10 x64
XYplorer version 18.6

Are these some special media keys?
Maybe nothing happens because they are already used globally?
