Hi,
Assuming that I've set XYplorer as my default file manager (replacing explorer), lets say I'm on my desktop and that I click a folder called "folder1". The folder will be opened in XYplorer in a new tab. If I minimize or close XYplorer and re-click on the same folder on desktop, then a new tab with the same exact folder will be created.
I often find myself with the same tab open multiple times (even 3 or 4 times) which creates clutter. Is there a way for XYplorer to detect that the location is already open and set focus to the already opened tab?
Thanks!
Don't open new tab for locations that are already open?

Hi,
Thank you for your work.
Works on a per pane setting (same locations get opened in different panes). Is this by design?
I have a multimonitor setup with 3 monitors. I have XYplorer in monitor 1, and on monitor 2 I have full screen Firefox and eM Client. Sometimes double-clicking on the desktop (to open folder in XYplorer) changes the foreground window in monitor 2 but I have not found a pattern to reproduce it constantly. If it becomes a problem and I find a pattern I will let you know.

Yes, it's meant to be like this.acicovic wrote:Works on a per pane setting (same locations get opened in different panes). Is this by design?

Re: Don't open new tab for locations that are already open?
I noticed something else. Let's take for example the desktop folder.
On the tree there's "This PC -> Desktop -> my folder"
There's also "C:\Users\MyUserName\Desktop -> my folder" which exists on the tree
If I've opened my folder from the tree using the first path, then double clicking on the same folder from explorer will open a second tab (obviously because XYplorer sees a different path although they are the same).

OK, good point. I think I agree that most people would indeed prefer that both synonymous locations are treated as identical here. Next beta...
