What I mean is that I'm clicking the disk icon ("Save Settings"), which saves all settings, correct?
That's the purpose, correct
but they're not being returned as result when I search by tag. Ideas?
And you are searching for them, HOW?
They are by default stored as extra tags (not in the normal tag column in the tag.dat file!)

Following up on this, I'm pasting line from my TAG.DAT file with the results of using this script. It seems to create a tag but it isn't searchable.

Any thoughts? Am I missing something basic?

Am I missing something basic?
Yeah, answering my question from my last post

A hint?

Code: Select all

help "idh_find.htm#idh_findfilesbytags";
And under that: Search only among Tagged Items

If you don't mind using the catalog you may find Click+Search easier, there is a pre-made ratings search catalog that you can download if you check this out:

@highend -

I've searched in the past by using the "Find By Tags" toolbar button. I read the section of the help file that you directed me to and it finally clarified to the extent that I can use this. Thanks for your help.
