Sort folder and file names

Post by BLUEPUPIL »

I've shifted to win-10 from win-7 and ran into a difficulty. Both systems feature- View- Sort by- Name(Ascending). Picture 1 shows my win-7 xyplorer, where the file name 2 is between 1 and 3, which is OK for me. Picture 2 represents win-10 xyplorer, where a file with the name 2 is between 19 and 20. How to achieve my old win-7 sort of file names again? PICTURE-2http://prikachi.com/images.php?images/926/9192926e.jpg PICTURE-1http://prikachi.com/images.php?images/927/9192927w.jpg Image Image

Is that setting checked on your Windows 10 system:
Configuration | Sort and Rename | Sort | Natural numeric sort order
?

Please attach any screenshots here to the forum post.
Please send a textual list of the filenames you want to sort; I need that for testing.

The tried version of xyplorer with W10 was old, because according to my investigation at the time versions after 16.50.0200 do not support hide file extensions. With v.18 the above stated problem vanished and the hide file extensions function is present again - clever decision made by xyplorer team. Thank you.
