CTB to toggle 64-bit context menu
CTB to toggle 64-bit context menu
Is there a command ID to toggle the 64-bit context menu?
Re: CTB to toggle 64-bit context menu
Nope. The only doable thing is to call the 64-bit one via sc run but AFAIK there is no toggle

Re: CTB to toggle 64-bit context menu
OK thanks. Most of the time, the 64-bit context menu works great for my purposes, but, occasionally I will want a function that is only available on the 32-bit menu, so have to toggle. If it were the other way around, I'd just leave the 32-bit one and when needed, choose "Show 64-bit menu". I was hoping there was a command ID that I could assign to a CTB.
Re: CTB to toggle 64-bit context menu
Greetings,
On my system, XYplorer has the 32-bit right click menu showing by default, with an option to show the 64-bit menu.
Is this not how your system works?

Re: CTB to toggle 64-bit context menu
Tip: Ctrl+ContextMenu key will show the 64-bit context menu.

Re: CTB to toggle 64-bit context menu
This is good, but is there the opposite? I choose to have the 64-bit context menu shown always, as most of the features I use regularly are found in this menu. Sometimes, however, there are functions I need that are only available on the 32-bit context menu, and the only way to show that, is to go back into Configuration and disable the 64-bit context menu. What would be helpful is to have this Tip: "Ctrl+ContextMenu key" show whichever menu is NOT the default. IOW, if 64-bit is shown by default, have this key combination show the 32-bit menu.
Is this possible?

Re: CTB to toggle 64-bit context menu
Well, I generally avoid context- or state-dependent shortcuts. Does not work well with muscle memory.
Maybe Shift+MenuKey could be used...

You could see it this way: it's not neccessary to be intelligent.
The meaning of Ctrl+ContextMenu must just mean "the opposite" of ContextMenu.
(Who's setting is to use 64bit-context will not use Ctrl to *also* mean 64bit.)

Well, the opposite is my point: it's neccessary to be not intelligent. Muscles are dumb. They don't understand "opposite".PeterH wrote:You could see it this way: it's not neccessary to be intelligent.
