Random crashes
XYplorer 16.50.0200; Win10Pro64Au. I originally installed XYplorer on a Win7 machine, and would occasionally get crashes, or errors when right clicking. I have since migrated to a Win10 machine, and the crashes and errors are now much more frequent... generally at least once a week. I can't find any particular event that causes the crash. I just restart the program, and continue working until the next random crash. I realize this is a vague post, and I wish I had more information to tell, but maybe people have some thoughts on how to at least decrease the frequency of crashes. Thank you. Wendi
Re: Random crashes
Configuration | Menus, Mouse, Safety | Context Menus | Hide shell extensions from shell context menu
Activate this setting
If XY doesn't crash anymore after doing it, use ShellExView from Nirsoft (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html)
and look at all entries of type "Context Menu"
Are there any that are from a third-party vendor (Company column, and normally these lines are highlighted
in fainted pink color)?
If yes, disable them all, deactive the XYplorer setting again and then test it by enabling one of these entries
at a time to find out which doesn't behave correctly within XYplorer...

Re: Random crashes
Thanks for the advice. I will definitely try your suggestion.
Re-reading my post, I realize I may not have been clear about one thing. While I do sometimes get errors when right-clicking, the crashes are not associated with right-clicking. They can happen just when switching folders, opening a file, etc.
