Asterisks in Filename

Windows doesn't allow asterisks in the file name, I was hoping I could within XYplorer ?

It depends on the file system which characters are allowed and which are not. Why should XY try to override that?
Use the unix subsystem / windows subsystem for linux / cygwin...

Install linux, run XY in linux through wine.
