Resolving Shortcuts

Is there an easy way to resolve shortcuts before passing it into a program associated through PFA without scripting? Trying to pass a shortcut link to an image file into an image viewer but all the image viewer ends up opening up the file as the *.lnk file instead of the actual destination since XYplorer is not resolving it first. Perhaps there is a tweak or setting that I seem to be missing?

Ah I see. I guess I could come up with some scripting that will work around this. If only I can get off my butt and program it instead of playing games whenever I have time...
