64bit context by default?

Post by jimh »

Hi,

I'm on Win7 64bit and just started using XYplorer free. There is one thing I'm really struggling with and wondered if some kind soul would help please?

Right clicking a file or folder brings up the context menu. However, I want the 64bit context menu to display by default instead of having to select it separately. Is there a way to do this please?

Thanks muchly

Configuration | Shell Integration | 64-bit Windows | Show the 64-bit context menu

Thank you!!! I'm sure that setting was invisible until you posted that reply as I feel like I've been looking for hours :D Very much appreciated.

Always try to find a config setting by using the "Jump to Setting..." button in the main config window. At least if you know how the option may be named...

Also, thank you!

I had no idea bout this setting. I think Don should maybe consider this to be made the default on x64 systems.

As much as I remember, in that case you will miss some other menu entries.
So for me best is to
- first see 32bit entries, and if needed
- second click "Show 64bit Context if Needed" - if needed.
