Folder View Settings and the Search Results tab

Post by hermhart »

Is there a way to save Folder View Settings for a Search Results tab? I cannot get things like Autosize Columns to work and stick, and I see that many items are greyed out in the Folder View Settings section of the View menu when I am in a Search Results tab.

Configuration > Find Files & Branch View > Find Files > Search results inherit current columns

Disable it!

Make your search, customize all columns in it. Close it, save your settings once.

Now you should get that search column setup back on every search.

highend,

Thank you for the suggestion. It works and it doesn't. Things like Autosize Columns do not remain honored. It does remember what the size of the columns were for the last search and it applies that, but it does not adjust the column widths for new searches.
