Shell context menu when click on nothing

Post by espressodaily »

I like to create new files by right clicking in Explorer (not on a file, on nothing) and selecting "New->" and then selecting the appropriate file type (Word, Excel, Text Document, etc.)

XYPlorer only shows me Folder and TextFiles. Is there a way to get the actual Shell context menu when I click on nothing?

Actually, I guess you could use the "NewItems" facility of XY as explained to me here: http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?t=1102

Just create a few basic files in there and off you go. Perhaps it would make sense for XY to ship with some basics in here? .doc .xls .html?

I saw the New Items. I have added some files there. I was just looking for the actual Shell context menu as a fallback if my template wasn't in the New Items.

Shell New is not supported, currently. I take this as a wish. :)
