Ctrl+Alt+key becomes a problem for those people, like me, that use the Ctrl+Alt+key combination to launch programs. The program launch takes precedence over any XY function. However, there is a way out - the combination Ctrl+Win+Alt+key (or Win+AltGr+key, whichever is easier) will execute the XY function and not launch the Windows program.
This was discovered by accident by somebody who posted the information on another forum - it's been invaluable to me and has always worked on several different programs and systems.
