thumbnail cache location
Re: thumbnail cache location
You shouldn't of ticked this:
Configuration | Preview | Thumbnails | Resolve cache path from current folder
untick it, then the cache will go in that path.

Re: thumbnail cache location
Ah. Thanks. I didn't know that. However, that presumably just reads the setting in the config, which isn't working as far as I can see. Until I can locate the cache (i.e. see it listed somewhere) I'm left to assume that thumbnails are not being cached.

Re: thumbnail cache location
What is your cache path now? Run this through the address bar:
Code: Select all
echo <xythumbs>;

Re: thumbnail cache location
Did you ever list a folder containing images in thumbnails view?

Re: thumbnail cache location
Ah. Well I have tested all the view options, but in the last month or so I have been through so many re-installations, including having a new machine and then a corrupted windows profile, that I must have forgotten to do that when I installed it on the new M: drive.
My apologies. The database is now visible. Thank you for your patience with my questions.
